There are several ways to get to Manly from the city. All methods of public transport take you to Manly Wharf. From here, you simply walk 3-5 minutes down The Corso (the main promenade in Manly), and you are at Boardriders!
From the Airport
There are trains that run from the airport into Sydney. You can either get on a train that takes you directly to Circular Quay, or on some services you will need to change at Central Station. From Circular Quay, you can get the Manly Ferry, a bus or a taxi.
The Manly Ferry
It's a beautiful ride, and is a tourist attraction for visitors who aren't even staying in Manly! It's a great way to come from the airport or the city. The relaxing half hour ferry journey offers classic harbour views and operates seven days a week (last ferry to Manly is around midnight).
For the best value, buy a Mymulti Day Pass at the train stataion for $20. This will give you unlimited train, bus and ferry rides for the day.

Manly Water Taxi Shuttle
Manly Water Taxi Shuttle is a new service delivering passengers to Manly Wharf from Balmoral, Watsons Bay and Circular Quay. The shuttle runs on a regular basis every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, departing every hour. The 'Sea Eagle' vessel is a beautiful 35 foot cruiser seating up to 16 people. Private charters are also available.
Services include the Limousine Cuisine Shuttle, operating every Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday, delivering diners to some of the finest waterfront restautants on Manly Wharf. A Late Night Shuttle also operates from Manly to Circular Quay from midnight to 4am every Friday and Saturday night.
Bookings essential, call Manly Cabs on 02 9972 5600.

Sydney Buses
Manly is well served by the Sydney bus service.
If you are coming from the airport and want to get the bus instead of the Manly Ferry, get off the airport train at Wynyard Station instead of Circular Quay. There are plenty of busses from Wynyard to Manly, and if not you can get a bus to Neutral Bay and change to a 144 or 143 bus. The trip from Wynyard should be around 30 - 60 minutes, depending on the time of day.
There are also busses from Chatswood and the Northern Beaches.
