Welcome to the Boardriders Backpackers in Manly! We’ve put together answers to some of the most frequently asked questions our guests have about staying with us.

Where is Boardrider Backpackers located?

We’re right on Manly’s famous Corso, less than 100 metres from the beach and a short ferry ride to Sydney’s CBD.

What time is check-in and check-out?

✓ Check-in from 14:00 ✓ Check-out 10:00

If you'd like to request an early or late check-in or check-out, you can make a special request when you book. Please note that special requests cannot be guaranteed. If early or late check-in or check-out is essential to your travel plans, we recommend checking our booking terms & conditions before you book.

Is breakfast included with all room bookings?

Yes! A light continental breakfast is included daily with all bookings from our communal dining room.

Do you have Wifi?

Absolutely, all guests have access to free, unlimited Wifi available throughout the property.

Do you have kitchen facilities?

Yes, we have a communal kitchen and dining area where you can prepare your own meals.

Is there a laundry on site?

Yes, coin-operated washers and dryers are available.

Do you have a luggage storage service?

Yes, luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out.

Is there parking available?

Boardriders is located in a pedestrian-only area of Manly and does not offer on-site parking. There are several Council car parks available in the area (one directly across from the hostel), and free street parking available in neighbouring suburbs (Queenscliff, Fairlight, Freshwater).

What types of rooms do you offer?

We have mixed and female-only dorms (4, 6, or 8 beds), as well as private double/twin rooms — some with ensuites and balconies.

Are linens and towels provided?

Linen is included. Beach towels can be hired at reception if needed.

Do all rooms have a balcony?

Our deluxe rooms have small balconies overlooking The Corso with a view of Manly Beach. Some dorm rooms have balconies overlooking Market Lane. We also have a large balcony off our common/recreation room.

Are the rooms air-conditioned?

All rooms come with fans; and we're lucky enough to get plenty of ocean breezes, which keep things comfortable.

Do private rooms have TVs and tea/coffee facilities?

Yes, our deluxe private rooms include TVs, tea/coffee facilities, and some have ocean-view balconies.

How far is the property from Sydney city?

We’re just a 30-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay, making it easy to explore Sydney.

What’s nearby?

Manly Beach is at your doorstep, with bars, cafés, restaurants, and surf shops all along The Corso.

How do I get there from Sydney Airport?

You can catch the train to Circular Quay and then hop on the Manly Ferry, or book a shuttle bus/taxi direct to Manly.
